Game Talk – A Spell for All

Hello, Hexxet here,

A Spell for All” is an awesome mind-control / magic-themed game, developed at the hypnopics collective. The original game was created by Wizard. Now, cmacleod42 and the community at the collective have taken over the development, and the result is, in my opinion, simply great! There is no other MC game out there that has captivated me as much as this game, and I‘ve replayed it a dozen times over the past years, and it’s always a pleasure 😊

Story/Content:

You are a student at the local school, and you’ve heard rumors about a powerful warlock who has lived in town some time ago. You are curious about this and try to find out more about this man, and especially the magic he might have left behind. During your research, you get your hands on a magic spell-book that enables you to learn and cast spells. There are various spells, but the most important one is the Dai-Chu spell. It’s a spell that releases a powerful surge of lust into the target. During this state, you can mold your target with your words, turning her into your slave/lover/thrall.

There are several plots in this game, like the story around the warlock Kurndorf and his descendants, a possible love story with the girl of your dreams, as well as your personal goal to take control of the whole town (if you so desire). Note that you can play either as male or female (or other). Your gender will have slight consequences on how some of the scenes play out. Also, there are three different paths you can take, which again change up different scenarios a little. There are about 80 characters in this game, and most of them are charm-able by you! 😊

Gameplay:

While this is a text-based browser game, it’s the most sophisticated one I have ever seen. There are tons of images (all rooms, items, and characters have graphics. And obviously, there are tons of images during the hot action sequences while/after mind-controlling the hot ladies of this game 😉

You walk around by clicking buttons that lead to adjacent rooms/areas or start a conversation with a present person. You can pick up and use items like in any adventure game, and you can cast spells from your spellbook (if you have enough mana). There are also some riddles in the game, but if you don’t like that, you can disable them at the start.

Now, why should you play it?

Well, I assume you are here because you like mind control. This game is purely dedicated to mind control, and it’s done really well. Even if you somehow dislike the genre of adventure games or the mechanics of browser games, this one is definitely worth playing. While I do like the story, the main attraction of this game is, in my opinion, the fact that you can run around town and go wild using the Dai-Chu spell. It really feels like an open world 🙂

Advice:

Save regularly. There are bad endings! (though the game balance has improved greatly over the last updates :)) Also,  if you hit a dead-end or simply don’t like adventure games, there is a detailed walkthrough for this game at the Collective. I admit that I did use the walkthrough, and before you throw this game in the bin without reaching the Dai-Chu spell, use the walkthrough. It’s very detailed and works very well. Also,  there are Cheat Options. If gathering stones to increase your mana gets too tedious, just use the cheat options in the left side menu to give yourself a huge of mana and then go on a Dai-Chu romp 😊

Where can you get this game? How to start it?

It’s freely available at the Hypnopics-Collective.

This is a forum thread. In the first post, you will find several links –> Use the full install download there. You will download a zip folder –> unpack it. In the resulting folder, there will be an HTML File (index.html) –> open that with your browser, and the game starts.

When you start the game, you will see the start screen (First Screenshot). Press START to start the game and find yourself on a config page. You can choose your player Avatar and some game options about explicit images, riddles, and stuff that may make the game easier or harder. After configuring the game to your liking, press “Start the Game” and find yourself on the first game screen Let’s play!

I hope you enjoy playing this game as much as I have 🙂

I totally can sign on: Snow Daze and Take Over. Those were great games of the genre 🙂
I played superpowered and dreams of desire long before they were complete. I will definitely try those now that they are complete, thanks for the info 🙂
And I’ve seen pics of shattered mind floating around, but I haven’t gotten myself to start it yet, cause I think it is realitvly new. Is there already a decent amount of content in that game?
